Lost Dogs on I-70 in Indianapolis
The Great Lakes Border Collie Rescue Group desperately needs your help!
(Received via email from the Truckin Bozo Internet Group - Dated 1-13-03)
Last Friday afternoon (1/10) one a member of the Great Lakes Border Collie Rescue Group was driving a Chevy Blazer eastbound on I-70 just east of Plainfield, Indiana when her tire blew out causing her SUV to roll.  She was carrying 10 Border Collie dogs that were on their way to their adopted families.  Eight of the dogs have been recovered but two are still missing!  Volunteers have searched the area and are working diligently with all the authorities, radio stations and newspapers.  There has been one lead in this rescue attempt when it witness reported that a trucker (in a red semi) in that area at the time of the event, had been seen picking up a small black dog and placing it in his truck.  There are no other details. This Border Collie is a female, approximately 15 months old with a short, smooth coat of mostly black and white fur.  She has a microchip implant.  She is friendly, probably scared and has had all of her shots.  The other missing dog is a 12-week old male puppy.  He weighs 12 pounds, has tan eyebrows and fluffy black and white fur.  He does not have a microchip.  If you have any information concerning the driver of the truck mentioned above or these dogs please contact:
UPDATE: 1-17-03 - The female (first dog) mentioned in this story has apparently been recovered.  The 12 week old male pup is still missing.  Please report any new information to:
